Special Entrance Interviews Held for Applicants with Disabilities
In accordance with Resolution No. 393 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated June 20, 2017, a specific admission procedure has been established for visually impaired applicants applying to higher education institutions.
In line with this regulation, Alisher Navo’i Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature organized special entrance interviews for the 2025/2026 academic year. This year, four visually impaired applicants submitted their documents to the university. However, one of them chose not to participate, and the remaining three applicants took part in the special interviews, which were conducted in the form of oral assessments.
All applicants applied to the "Philology and Language Teaching (Uzbek Language)" program, and their knowledge was evaluated fairly and objectively by a specially appointed admissions committee. The examination process was supervised by a working group led by Orzu Davranov, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs.
All participating applicants were officially recognized as visually impaired persons (Group I disability). The interviews were held in agreement with the applicants’ parents and conducted under specially arranged conditions to ensure accessibility. A comfortable and supportive environment was provided throughout the process.
