Afghan Citizens Training Centre


96 Afghan students have studied Uzbek Language and Literature during 2018-2019 years and received bachelor degree at Alisher Navo’i Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature.
Currently, the centre hosts 186 students.
The total area of the center is 6.5 hectares, 3.5 of which  are reserved for educational facilities.

There are 750-seat training building, 150-seat winter and 224-seat summer kitchen, 2000-seat hall, 42-seat lecture halls, 3 18-seat technical room, 24-seat chemistry and physics labs , 20-seat language lab and library for 80 people.

 

   

    President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan on September 10, 2017 in Astana within the framework of “The Organization of Islamic Cooperation” Summit in Astana, Kazakhstan. In the border district of Termez, it was planned to organize a training centre for the purpose of teaching Afghan citizens. 
In the implementation of this agreement, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan adopted  Resolution No. 911 "On the organization of the educational centre for training Afghan citizens under the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan." dated November 13, 2017. A training centre for Afghan citizens was established in Termez in terms of implementation of this resolution

Currently, the centre educates Afghan citizens in several faculties:
1. Uzbek language and literature
2. Ground transport systems and their operation.
3. Medicine (obstetrics and nursing)
The centre organizes full-time education in accordance with the curriculum and programs accepted by the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education in accordance with the norms adopted in the education system of the Republic of Uzbekistan and agreement with the Afghan side and the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The centre currently has 204 students, 152 of whom study Uzbek language and literature, 34 students study ground transportation systems and their operation.
All the necessary facilities have been eslablished for students, including the information-resource
centre which seats 80 students at the same time, Internet resources, technological literature, socio-humanitarian, artistic and socio-political literature, documentary films, audio and e-books. There are also 2 Uzinfokiosk devices, which have software in Uzbek and Dari (Afghan) languages, and 5 sections of the program ("Symbols of Uzbekistan", " Cultural Heritage ”,“ People ”,“ Our Pride ”,“ Gallery ”).
In order to organize quality time for students, more than 10 sport clubs, sewing, hairdressing and other clubs ,  the best  young speaker, a young journalist, a local historian, a young programmer, fine and folk arts are being operated in the centre.

Besides, on December 15th 2021 the Ambassador of European Union in Uzbekistan Charlotte Adrian, the Representative of UNICEF in Uzbekistan Munir Mamedzade , the Representative of Yel in Uzbekistan Akmal Rustamov, representative of the Ministry of foreign affairs of Uzbekistan Rustam Nazarov, and the secretary of Afghanistan Consulate Office in Termez Mukhtar Azimi and the Consul Siam Sakandaria visited the centre.
