The academic partnership between Alisher Navo’i  Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature and Germany’s Humboldt University continues to develop steadily. As part of projects implemented under the Erasmus+ programme, prominent scholars from the Institute for Asian and African Studies at Humboldt University, Ayfer Durdu and Manja Stephan, visited the university.
During their visit, a series of academic and educational events were organized for the university’s faculty, researchers, and students. In a meeting between the Humboldt representatives and the university community, discussions focused on expanding mutual cooperation, enhancing academic exchange programmes, and implementing joint scientific initiatives.
As part of the program, Dr. Manja Stephan delivered a special lecture for researchers and professors at the university. Her presentation offered an in-depth look into the history of Humboldt University, its scientific traditions, and the mission and activities of the Institute for Asian and African Studies (IAAS). She emphasized the institute’s research directions, its accomplishments in the study of Asian and African languages and cultures, and its rich experience in international academic collaboration.
