Quarterly Monitoring Conducted for Doctoral Students and Independent Researchers
At the Alisher Navo'i Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature, a quarterly monitoring session was held to assess the research activities of doctoral students and independent researchers, marking the end of the first quarter of 2025. The monitoring process, implemented in three stages, was overseen by the university’s Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation, Doctor of Philology Nozliya Normurodova.
During the first stage, researchers submitted their quarterly reports via a dedicated electronic platform provided by the Agency for Innovative Development. These reports detailed their scientific work, published articles, participation in academic conferences, and other relevant activities. Each doctoral student’s supervisor was responsible for verifying the authenticity of the submitted data.
In the second stage, a university commission thoroughly reviewed the submitted reports. Particular attention was paid to the alignment of research outcomes with dissertation topics, the level of engagement in both national and international academic arenas, and achievements such as publication in foreign journals.
The third stage involved individual interviews with each researcher, conducted by commission members and Vice-Rector Normurodova. These discussions addressed challenges encountered in the research process, the effective use of available resources, cooperation with academic supervisors, and plans for future research. Constructive methodological guidance and motivational advice were provided, while those showing insufficient progress were assigned specific tasks to improve their performance.
This monitoring initiative serves as an essential step towards ensuring transparency, consistency, and effectiveness in the university's research activities. It plays a key role in fostering the academic potential of young researchers and advancing the university's scientific mission.
