Preparations in Full Swing to Welcome Students at Alisher Navo’i Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature
As the academic year draws near, the excitement is building at Alisher Navo’i Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature. Preparations are well underway to ensure students have a smooth transition back to university life. In line with the recent directive from the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation (Order No. 269, issued on July 30, 2024), the university has set up a special working group. Their mission? To assess rental accommodations around the university and make sure everything is in place for incoming students.
Heading the charge is the university’s vice-rector for youth issues and spiritual-educational affairs, G. Jorayeva. Taking a hands-on approach, she has personally inspected rental apartments and carefully reviewed the living conditions provided for students. During her visits, she didn’t shy away from offering recommendations to landlords, all aimed at improving the quality of student accommodations.
Over the course of these inspections, university representatives have already reviewed around fifty rental properties, focusing their attention on the "Rakatboshi" and "Tepa" neighborhoods in the Yakkasaray district. Key concerns such as rental costs and student safety were at the forefront of discussions with homeowners. As part of the initiative, the university’s senior prevention inspector is also conducting a rigorous evaluation of security measures in these properties, prioritizing the well-being of students.
Thanks to these efforts, a comprehensive database of rental apartments is being compiled. Soon, students will have easy access to this valuable information on the university's website and social media platforms. With everything in place, the university is not only gearing up for a new academic
