Panel Discussion on Education for Inclusion and Accessibility with Japanese researchers, 19 February
TSUULL continously implements strategies and initiatives to support the environment where all students and staff regardless of their background or abilities, have equal opportunities to succeed and thrive in their academic pursuits. Inclusive education is not only important for promoting diversity, equity, and social justice but also for enhancing learning outcomes, fostering innovation, and preparing students for success in a diverse and interconnected world. It is an essential component of TSUULL's mission to educate and empower individuals to make meaningful contributions to society.
Recently, TSUULL academic staff embarked on a panel discussion with Japanese researchers in the country on the topic of Inclusive and Accessible Education. In particular, the core aim of the discussion was to strengthen the implementation of inclusive and accessible education, exchange experience, and outline priority tasks in the educational institutions of both parties. Led by Professor Hakumura from Gifu University in Japan, the visiting foreign experts offered valuable insights drawn from their extensive international experience in organizing inclusive and accessible education.
Through activities promoting inclusive and accessible education such as inclusive policies and guidelines, trainings, awareness programs, accessible infrasrtucture and technology, inclusive curriculum materials and teaching practices, advocating for diversity, equity, and inclusion across the university community, TSUULL ensures the inclusive and accessible education for all.
