New Milestones in Mutual Cooperation

From December 6 to 8 this year, the Shanghai International Studies University in China hosted an international forum titled "Technology, Language, and Higher Education for Human Development." This significant event brought together leading scholars, experts, and education sector officials from various countries. Among the participants was the Vice-Rector for International Cooperation of Alisher Nava’i Tashkent State University of the Uzbek Language and Literature, who delivered a presentation on the sweeping reforms in Uzbekistan’s higher education sector, the rapid pace of internationalization, and the role of universities in fostering societal stability.

The forum's primary objective was to explore the interconnectedness of technology, language, and higher education in advancing human development, exchange best practices, and develop promising proposals for the future of the global education system. Discussions during the event covered modern language teaching methods, the role of artificial intelligence and digital technologies in education, and the importance of intercultural dialogue in the learning process.

This forum marked an important step in accelerating human progress through technology and language, with its resolutions and recommendations expected to strengthen international collaboration and drive the integration and advancement of education on a global scale.

It is worth noting that the Shanghai International Studies University is one of the key partners of TSUULL. The university offers an Uzbek language program, with TSUULL scholars actively teaching Uzbek language and culture to its students. Currently, this responsibility is undertaken by a young lecturer, who received guidance during the forum from the Vice-Rector on improving lesson quality and curriculum content.

In addition, the Vice-Rector held a meeting with students interested in studying in Uzbekistan, introducing them to TSUULL’s research opportunities and admission requirements.

Subsequently, the Vice-Rector met with the Vice-President of the Shanghai International Studies University to discuss the prospects of further cooperation. Their dialogue focused on key topics such as expanding Chinese language instruction at TSUULL, facilitating academic exchanges for Chinese students and researchers, and jointly preparing large-scale educational projects. This meeting set a promising foundation for deeper and more productive collaboration between the two institutions.
