LITERATURE OF THE TURKIC PEOPLE
In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev dated January 5, 2021, in honor of the 880th anniversary of the great poet Sheikh Nizami Ganjavi, 2021 was declared the "Year of Nizami Ganjavi" in Azerbaijan. Similarly, the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev dated October 19, 2020 reflects the idea of large-scale celebration of the 580th anniversary of the great poet and scholar Alisher Navo’i. Both resolutions are a symbol of the high attention and respect paid to both Turkish literature and cultural sphere.
On the basis of the project of the Azerbaijan Cultural Center named after Heydar Aliyev, articles and books about great artists have been published. Our university professors Shuhrat Sirojiddinov and Gulbahor Ashurova co-authored a monograph entitled "Turkish ideology and literary-creative basis in the works of Nizami Ganjavi and Alisher Navo’i." The creative and philosophical views of both poets and thinkers, oriental culture, their contribution to the Turkish national and cultural heritage, penetrating poetry and the peculiarities of both "Khamsa"s are studied in the monograph.
