The Educational Phase of the Summer School Has Ended

The "Forward to the East" Summer School has successfully concluded its Uzbek language lessons and lectures on Eastern history. Funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the program provided participants with a three-week opportunity to immerse themselves in both the Uzbek language and its rich culture. They explored the city's iconic sites and became more acquainted with the national heritage. Today, participants received certificates marking the successful completion of their studies.

At the award ceremony, the university's Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, Nozliya Normurodova, emphasized that this was the first collaboration with DAAD and noted that the project's success opens the door for larger initiatives in the future.

Lena Fuhrmann, one of the summer school participants, expressed sincere thanks for the high level of organization and the captivating lessons. "I have discovered a new, wonderful country—Uzbekistan. The warmth and hospitality of the Uzbek people touched me deeply, and I was fascinated by the cuisine, traditional clothing, and crafts. Uzbek is such a beautiful language, and I am eager to continue studying it," Lena shared.
