University Scientist Enhances Qualifications Through International Training
Dr. D. Tolipova, a senior lecturer in the Department of Foreign Languages at our university, has recently completed an intensive two-week training program at St. Petersburg State University. The course, titled "Russian Language in School and Higher Education: Features of Teaching Bilinguals and Inophones," was meticulously designed to address the evolving needs of language education in multilingual environments. This professional development initiative was part of a broader program supported by the "Rossotrudnichestvo" representative office in Uzbekistan, aimed at fostering international academic collaboration and enhancing pedagogical expertise.
The training brought together Russian language specialists from 25 countries, offering a rigorous curriculum that focused on the latest methodologies for teaching Russian to bilingual and non-native speakers. The program emphasized the unique challenges and strategies involved in instructing students with diverse linguistic backgrounds, providing participants with valuable insights and practical tools to apply in their educational contexts.
In addition to the academic rigor, the program also included a cultural immersion component. Participants had the opportunity to explore the rich historical and cultural heritage of St. Petersburg, with organized visits to significant landmarks, theaters, and museums. This cultural experience not only enriched their understanding of Russian language and culture but also provided a broader context for the application of the teaching methodologies discussed during the course.
Dr. Tolipova’s participation in this program represents a significant step forward in her professional development and contributes to the ongoing enhancement of our university’s academic standards. The knowledge and experience she gained will undoubtedly benefit her students and colleagues, further strengthening our university’s commitment to excellence in education and international collaboration.
