University Leadership Reviews Dormitory Conditions
On March 1, the Rector of Alisher Navo'i Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature, academician Shuhrat Sirojiddinov, visited the student dormitories together with responsible staff to assess the living conditions created for students.
During the visit, the University leadership inspected the heating systems, sanitation facilities, recreation rooms, cafeteria, and laundry rooms, ensuring that they are properly equipped and functional. Special attention was given to students with disabilities, with the Rector personally speaking with them to learn about their needs and ensure necessary support.
The University places particular priority on providing free dormitory accommodation for students who fall into the bottom 20% of the household income group, ensuring that students from low-income families have access to safe and comfortable housing. The University regularly monitors student living conditions to maintain high-quality standards and improve welfare services.

Throughout the visit, students shared their feedback and suggestions regarding further improvement of dormitory facilities. All identified issues were reviewed, and immediate instructions were given to the dormitory administration to address the reported shortcomings without delay.

This ongoing oversight reflects the University’s commitment to ensuring a supportive and equitable living environment for all students.
