
TSUULL Attended IREG 2023 Conference: Rankings and University International Exposure, 27 April
The international conference ‘IREG 2023: Rankings and University International Exposure’ was held in Tashkent on 27 April, 2023 under the initiative of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Leaders of the world's most prestigious international ranking organizations such as ‘Times Higher Education’, ‘QS’, ‘Webometrics’ took part in the conference sessions. More than 100+ participants from different parts of the world attended the discussion panels: Canada, Brazil, Germany, the Netherlands, Hungary, Romania, Poland, China, Singapore, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Kazakhstan, Estonia, Uzbekistan, etc. including rectors and experts of the universities.
Alisher Navo’i Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature is among the few HEIs of Uzbekistan that have been ranked in international rankings. TSUULL representatives took an active part in the IREG Forum and received answers to important questions on strategic issues necessary to achieve a decent result in international rankings.
IREG Observatory on Academic Ranking and Excellence (in short: IREG Observatory) is an international institutional non-profit association of ranking organizations, universities and other bodies interested in university rankings and academic excellence. The experience acquired by a group of rankers and ranking analysts, who met first in 2002, led to creation of an International Ranking Expert Group (IREG). In 2009 this informal group was transformed into IREG Observatory as a non-profit organization. It is registered in Brussels, Belgium, and its Secretariat is located in Warsaw, Poland.
