“Penitentiary Psychology” Courses Concluded in Collaboration Between TSUULL and the Ministry of Internal Affairs
Based on a memorandum of cooperation between TSUULL and the Penal Enforcement Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan, the Department of Psychology and Sociology organized a 40-hour “Penitentiary Psychology” course for department psychologists, which was successfully completed.
A total of 50 participants attended the training, conducted under the agreement to strengthen cooperation between the university and the department and to provide professional development opportunities for the department’s personnel at TSUULL.
The initiative was led by the TSUULL Department of Social and Humanitarian Sciences, chaired by Ilhom Aslanov, and the Applied Psychology Center, headed by psychologist Boboyor Turayev.
This collaboration aims to strengthen the scientific and practical foundations of penitentiary psychology in Uzbekistan and to prepare qualified specialists for the field.
Penitentiary psychology focuses on studying individuals who have committed crimes in prison settings, addressing their mental state, behavior, and social reintegration.
