New Methods, New Techniques: TSUULL Students Join the Nationwide Project ‘Public Dictation’ to Promote Uzbek Language, 15 November
On 15 November 2023, more than 150+ TSUULL students participated in the nationwide campaign on writing dictation in the Uzbek language which is called the Project ‘Public Dictation’ held and organised by the National Revival Democratic Party of Uzbekistan Youth Branch with the support of TSUULL Center for Professional Development and Training in the Basics of the Office Work in the State Language.
Dictation contains a wealth of new techniques to extend the traditional language-learning activity of dictation. This Project is necessary to increase respect and attention to the state language of the Uzbek society which is becoming more and more multilingual in the process of globalization.
According to the project regulations, the goal is to study the level of knowledge of the Uzbek language of the population, to fight against negative effects related to speech culture, to accelerate reforms related to the Latin alphabet based on the Uzbek script and to increase the responsibility of management bodies and public representatives in this regard.
According to the mutual agreement, in cooperation with the center for training and professional development of the basics of working in the state language, the ‘Public Dictation’ Project is regularly held at enterprises, organizations, and institutions of the republic.
TSUULL Center for Training and Professional Development Specialists took dictation on the topic ‘Conditions of Becoming a Coach’. According to the final results, diplomas with honors were given to 10 students (1st place 2 people, 2nd place 3 people, 3rd place 5 people). The Democratic Party of National Reconciliation gave prizes to the winners and participants of the test.
