Meeting of Vice-Rector of TSUULL and Head of the Political and Public Diplomacy Section of the British Embassy in Uzbekistan, 8 February

The greatest Uzbek poet Alisher Navoi was born 582 years ago, but his works are still admired around the world. 

On the occasion of the celebration of the poet’s birthday, the Head of the Political and Public Diplomacy Section of the British Embassy in Uzbekistan  Cathy Cottrell visited the University of Uzbek Language and Literature named after Alisher Navoi. Vice-Rector of the University Nozliya Normurodova talked about the work of the Uzbek School and the projects the University has been carrying out. 

The meeting was followed by an impressive performance organized for the British diplomat, where students of the University recited Navoi's ghazals and sang maqams.
