IPA CIS Chingiz Aytmatov award goes to TSUULL Rector
Prof. Dr., Rector of Alisher Navoi Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature (TSUULL University) Shuhrat Sirojiddinov is awarded the Chingiz Aytmatov International Award at the 54th Plenary Session of the Interparliamentary Assembly of Member Nations of the Commonwealth of Independent States [IPA CIS], which was personally presented by the Chairman of the CIS PA Council Valentina Matviyenko and the Chairman of the Johorgu Council of the Kyrgyz Republic Nurlanbek Shakiyevlar.
This prestigious award is given to intellectuals for their great achievements in the fields of Culture, Education, Science, Literature and Art for their achievements in the rapprochement and mutual enrichment of the cultures of nations and peoples in strengthening peace and for their contribution to the development of spiritual ties between countries.
The autumn session of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the CIS is being held in Samarkand these days. Initially meetings of three permanent commissions of the assembly on Culture, Information, Tourism and Sports, Agricultural Policy, Natural Resources and Ecology, Political Issues and International Cooperation were held. According to tradition, the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the CIS Awards are presented at the Plenary Sessions of the Assembly.

IPA CIS Session to take place in Uzbekistan for the first time (Samarkand, 27-28 October 2022). Participants of the session are: heads and members of parliamentary delegations of the IPA CIS Member Nations, as well as representatives of international organizations, academia and experts.
