Graduating High School Students Visit the University as Part of the "Open Doors Day"

In line with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation’s Order No. 203 dated May 29, 2025, an "Open Doors Day"  event was held at Alisher Navo’i Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature as part of the "Youth Employment Month."

Graduating students from School No. 118 in Tashkent took part in the event. During their visit, the guests were introduced to the university’s modern educational environment, its infrastructure, and the learning opportunities available.

The students had a chance to explore classrooms, subject-specific laboratories, libraries, and other academic facilities up close. Presentations showcased the university’s use of cutting-edge pedagogical technologies and multimedia tools in lecture halls, hands-on training opportunities in laboratories, and the rich collections available in the library.

  

In addition, the visitors received comprehensive information about the university's undergraduate and graduate programs. They were introduced to the following academic fields:

Uzbek Language and Literature

Philology and Language Teaching (Uzbek)

Textual Studies and Literary Textual Analysis

Publishing

Computational Linguistics

Folklore and Dialect Studies

Psychology (Applied Psychology)

Sociology

Teaching Uzbek to Non-Native Speakers

Applied Philology

Theory and Practice of Translation (English, Russian, German, French)

The prospective students were also given clear and accessible insights into student life, professional training processes, and the role of graduates in the labor market.
Overall, the event proved to be a meaningful and practical guide for high school graduates in making informed decisions about their future career paths.
