
Celebrating Achievement: TSUULL Excels in THE Impact Ranking
Proud Moment for Alisher Navo'i Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature
On June 14, 2024, TSUULL hosted a grand ceremony to commemorate its remarkable achievement in the prestigious 'THE (Times Higher Education) Impact Ranking.' This event, held at the university campus and attended by officials from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, along with faculty members and students, marked a historic milestone for the institution.
The ceremony was inaugurated by the esteemed Rector of the university, Academician Shuhrat Sirojiddinov, who extended heartfelt congratulations to everyone present on this significant accomplishment. For the first time in its young history, TSUULL secured a place among the top universities in the world in the realm of gender equality, ranking among the top 10 globally in this category.
Reflecting on this achievement, Rector of TSUULL, Academician, Mr.Sirojiddinov remarked on the university's dedication to quality education, impactful research, and its commitment to addressing global challenges and contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set forth by the United Nations. Despite being established just eight years ago, TSUULL has demonstrated exceptional progress, achieving an impressive score in THE Impact Rating, rising from 800+ in 2022 to a ranking among the top 600+ universities globally in 2023.
Prof., Dr.Nozliya Normurodova, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, highlighted the university's initiatives aimed at promoting gender equality, such as the special platform launched for this purpose, along with podcasts and open dialogues on current issues. She also emphasized the university's strong performance in other categories of the ranking, including quality education, peace and justice, and global partnership.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of Duncan Ross, founder and director of THE rating agency, and Lachin Italmazova, regional director, who joined via video connection to congratulate TSUULL on its outstanding achievement. Phil Batylar, an evaluator and global issues expert, also extended his congratulations and commendation.
With this exceptional accomplishment, TSUULL not only reaffirms its leadership in Uzbekistan but also sets a benchmark for excellence in the region. The university looks forward to continuing its journey of academic excellence, impactful research, and fostering global partnerships.
