Ramadan – A Month of Compassion and National Values

The sacred month of Ramadan holds a special place in the life of our people. It is not only a time of spiritual devotion, but also a period when the values of kindness, generosity, and tolerance are especially elevated. During these blessed days, Alisher Navo’i Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature continues to uphold and promote these noble traditions.

As part of these efforts, a traditional osh was prepared for students residing in the university dormitory and distributed individually to each student. This initiative reflects the university’s commitment to ensuring that students feel cared for and supported, fostering a warm and inclusive environment.

Such meaningful activities are a vivid expression of the core values deeply rooted in our culture—compassion, solidarity, and humanism. In particular, these initiatives resonate with the spirit of Ramadan and the approaching Navruz holiday, strengthening among young people a sense of respect for national traditions, mutual care, and unity.

Navruz symbolizes renewal, purification, and the pursuit of goodness, while Ramadan embodies patience, generosity, and spiritual growth. The harmony of these two great traditions contributes to the further strengthening of kindness, social cohesion, and harmony within our society.
