Doctoral Institute at TSUULL

The university has 50 doctoral students and 53 independent researchers.
The number of basic doctoral (PhD), doctoral (DSc) and independent research specialities is nine:

Requirements for applicants to postgraduate education institutions

Admission to the basic doctoral and doctoral programs is carried out on a competitive basis by admission commissions formed by universities or research institutes in the manner prescribed by law.

Applicants for the basic doctoral program are selected based on the results of the entrance exams, and for the doctoral program - based on the results of interviews.
Registration for the Independent Research Institute will be based on the results of the interview.

In order to receive the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), persons entering the basic doctoral program or being registered as independent researchers must meet the following requirements:
Owning a master's degree or clinical residency (for medical sciences), or a diploma of higher education (for specialty programs);
Certain scientific results, including at least one scientific article published in scientific journals and publications, as well as scientific-practical conferences, seminars, relevant scientific directions, which may form the basis of dissertation research for obtaining the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). have at least two theses in the collections of scientific papers;
To obtain the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), an independent researcher must have at least two years of scientific and pedagogical experience or a specific scientific achievement (patent or certificate of invention).

Applicants for basic doctoral studies must submit the following documents to the university:

  • application;
  • brief biographical information;
  • certified copy of employment history (for working candidates);
  • a copy of a master's degree from a higher education institution or a diploma of clinical residency (for medical sciences), higher education (for specialty programs);
  • List of published scientific works, as well as their copies.
  • submit a copy of the relevant document: the State Scholarship of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan .

Applicants must have:

  • To be awarded the degree of Doctor of Science (DSc), a person entering a doctoral program or being registered as an independent researcher must meet the following requirements:
  • Candidate of Science or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or equivalent academic degrees obtained in foreign countries;
  • Achieve significant scientific achievements after obtaining a PhD or PhD degree, including at least three scientific articles published in scientific journals that may form the basis of dissertation research for the degree of Doctor of Science (DSc); have at least two theses in scientific-practical conferences, seminars and collections of scientific works on relevant scientific directions.

Applicants for doctoral studies must submit the following documents to the university:

  • application;
  • brief biographical information;
  • certified copy of employment history (for working candidates);
  • a copy of a diploma of higher education, PhD or PhD or equivalent degree in a foreign country;
  • a scientific report on the research topic and a detailed draft of the doctoral dissertation plan for the degree of Doctor of Science (DSc);
  • List of published scientific works, as well as their copies

Applicants for independent research apply to the university with the following documents:

  • brief biographical information;
  • A copy of the diploma of master's or clinical residency (for medical sciences) or higher education (for the speciality program) for registration as an independent candidate for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD);
  • a certified copy of the employment history;
  • list of scientific works and their copies;
  • a copy of a PhD or PhD degree or other equivalent degree obtained abroad to formalize as an independent applicant for the degree of Doctor of Science (DSc);
  •  Job description.
