Presentations by TSUULL Representatives at the Forum
On March 13, the capital of the Republic of Tajikistan, Dushanbe, hosted the Third Forum of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. The prestigious event, held at Tajik State Pedagogical University named after S. Ayni, brought together leaders of higher education systems, rectors of leading universities, as well as prominent scholars and experts from both countries.
At the opening ceremony, the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan, Rahim Saidzoda, the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Qo‘ng‘irotboy Sharipov, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Tajikistan, Ergash Shoismatov, delivered speeches highlighting key areas of bilateral cooperation in education, science, and innovation.
Within the framework of the forum, representatives of Alisher Navo’i Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature also delivered presentations. In particular, the Rector of the university, professor Shuhrat Sirojiddinov, presented a report titled “Development of the Higher Education System in the Republic of Uzbekistan: Dynamics and International Integration.” His presentation addressed the processes of modernization in higher education, the integration of universities into the global academic community, the expansion of education export, and the development of scientific and humanitarian cooperation. He also provided an overview of the university’s international academic activities, including Uzbek language and culture centers abroad and ongoing collaborative research projects.

The Vice-Rector for Research, Innovation and International Cooperation , Nozliya Normurodova, also delivered a presentation focusing on the university’s scientific research activities, international academic cooperation programs, modern research platforms, and initiatives aimed at enhancing research productivity. She emphasized the importance of expanding joint research in linguistics and literary studies, engaging young scholars in the international academic environment, and strengthening inter-university scientific collaboration.

The presentations were received with great interest by forum participants and generated valuable ideas and proposals aimed at further developing scientific and humanitarian cooperation between higher education institutions of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
