TSUULL celebrates festive holiday 'Navruz'

On March 15, TSUULL was radiated with the vibrant spirit of Navruz during the grand celebration titled "May the Light of Navruz Illuminate the World!" Under the leadership of the university's esteemed rector, the event brought together a diverse array of participants, including the dedicated pedagogical team, enthusiastic students, eager foreign language learners, and a notable gathering of compatriots from various corners of the globe.

Nowruz holds significant cultural and traditional importance in Uzbekistan, as it does in many other countries across Central Asia and beyond. Celebrated on March 21st, Nowruz marks the arrival of spring and the beginning of the new year in the Persian calendar. The word itself translates to "new day" in Persian, symbolizing the renewal of nature and the start of a fresh cycle.

Embracing the rich tapestry of our age-old traditions, the festival unfolded with an atmosphere of harmony and jubilation. Students eagerly immersed themselves in a wide range of engaging competitions, each highlighting the beauty and diversity of our cultural heritage. From contests showcasing the mastery of traditional dishes to exhibitions of intricate hair styling techniques, and from soul-stirring performances of lapar (traditional form of folk singing) and alla (lullaby) singing to displays of strength and skill in activities like rope pulling and stone lifting, the festivities were a true testament to the enduring spirit of people.

Amidst the joyous celebrations, TSUULL Rector, Academician Shuhrat Sirojiddinov took a moment to extend heartfelt congratulations to all participants, recognizing their dedication and talent. The winners of the competitions were lauded for their achievements, further adding to the jubilant atmosphere of the event.

As the day transitioned into evening, the festivities continued with a vibrant Navruz feast, filled with the tantalizing aromas and flavors of traditional dishes. The highlight of the evening was the gathering around the sumalak (dish prepared during the celebration of Navruz), a symbol of renewal and prosperity. Renowned singer Shuhrat Daryo graced the occasion with his soulful melodies, captivating the audience and infusing the night with a sense of enchantment and joy.

Throughout celebrations, the atmosphere remained alive with the spirit of camaraderie and goodwill. Heartfelt wishes, meaningful conversations, and joyous greetings echoed around the sumalak, forging bonds of unity and solidarity amongst all present. The essence of Navroz permeated every moment, casting its light far and wide well into the early hours of the morning, a testament to the enduring traditions and cherished values of our community.

Overall, Navruz at TSUULL was a vibrant and festive occasion that embodied the spirit of renewal, hope, and unity. It served as a time for reflection, gratitude, and the reaffirmation of cultural identity, bringing communities together in celebration of the beauty and abundance of nature.
