On Friday, 27 January 2023, TSUULL University welcomed Elisabetta Ragagnin, Turkologist and Associate Professor of Ca'Foscari University of Venice (Italy) Department of Asian and North African Studies, who has visited our University within Erasmus+ Credit Mobility Program

Cooperation between TSUULL University and Ca’Foscari University of Venice started in 2021 with Erasmus+ Credit  Mobility Program Partnership Application aims to foster the next generation of thought leaders and policy experts in Central Asia and Turkology. This cooperation provides University Professors as well as students the opportunity to develop their research in the field of Turkic Studies, Culture, History, Literature and Area Studies in order to become effective leaders within their communities.

Ca‘Foscari University – is the only University in Italy, which offers East Asian Studies at both Undergraduate and Master’s Degree Courses and  has been ranked in the top 3% higher education institutions in the world (according to QS, the estimated number of higher education institutions in the world amounts to over 26,000).

Possibilities of Erasmus+ Projects on Turkology and Central Asian Culture, joint research and teaching in Philology, i.e. cross-cultural communication, history of culture, language expertise, as well as mutual study programs for students were also discussed between TSUULL Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, Professor Nozliya Normurodova and Ca’Foscari University of Venice Associate Professor, Dr. Elisabetta Ragagnin. During the next three days a guest lecturer will deliver lectures to TSUULL students about the latest research in these fields.

Mrs. Ragagnin carried out a number of academic research articles for the promotion of Boburnoma study in Europe. The scientist proposed to work together with the TSUULL University Linguistics team on an interactive platform where Boburnoma can be understood and studied in all world languages. Boburnoma is one of the greatest monuments of Uzbek classical literature, was known in the East as ‘Tuzuki Boburiy’, ‘Voqeoti Boburiy’, ‘Voqeanomai shoh Bobur’. This paper is considered a valuable cultural heritage related to history, literature, political science, ethnography, geography, biology and many other fields of science. It is necessary to widely promote this work in the world. The academic papers of the Italian researcher on this topic are quite significant. She said that is happy to cooperate with TSUULL University researchers.
